A consultation with Dr.
Hoover is the first step in determining how we may help you
and your unique concerns. Dr. Hoover uses the “Home Run
Formula” as a metaphor to communicate with patients.
Addressing each of the bases (structure, emotions, toxins,
nutrition) ensures that all four aspects of this mind-body
model are evaluated and addressed to provide a complete
solution to your health and emotional needs.
Our friendly staff and doctor will answer questions and
address any concerns you may have. We understand that any
new experience, especially when it comes to your health, can
be unnerving and we will make every effort to make your
first visit very comfortable.
Arriving
We recommend for your first appointment, you arrive 20
minutes early to complete the required paperwork or you
may choose to decrease the time spent in our office on your
initial visit by printing and completing our forms ahead of
time (please refer to the links at the
bottom of this section)!
First Visit —What Can You Expect?
Dr. Hoover will tailor your first office visit depending
upon whether or not you are interested in traditional
chiropractic care or NET. For all new patients, an in-depth
analysis of your current problem(s) will be performed.
Chiropractic Patients will be asked:
- health history
- life-style / habits
and
- current problem
For traditional
Chiropractic Patients, Dr. Hoover will also perform an
orthopedic and neurological exam. When necessary, x-rays and
other diagnostic tests will be requested.
NET Patients will be asked:
- history of similar
events
- previous care or
interventions
For patients interested in
NET, Dr. Hoover will apply the Home Run Formula
to assess your concerns and then determine the best way to
meet your goals and concerns.
Health History (Chiropractic Only)
A complete health history is the first step for any new
chiropractic patient. We will ask about old injuries,
chronic problems, and your current symptoms. Dr. Hoover may
also inquire about your family history, dietary habits, job
or work habits, and previous treatments for the current
condition.
Treatment Plan
After reviewing your health/emotional history, Dr. Hoover
will discuss his findings with you and determine how your
condition could best be treated. If he feels you will
benefit from his care, then (and only then) will he
recommend a treatment plan - or if conditions allow, discuss
a choice of treatment options.
Treatments will be tailored to specifically address any
health problems or personal concerns. For Chiropractic
patients, other therapeutic methods, massage techniques, or
home care remedies may also be recommended.
